LifeTracks: Melody and Memory

A crowded boardwalk on a hot, steamy summer day along the Jersey Shore. A cool breeze in the soft morning light at daybreak in the Rocky Mountains. Gentle, rolling waves ebbing and flowing over the tidal pools of the Central California coast. Friends packed into a car, cruising around town on a Friday night after the drive-in. Thick fog slowly creeping over the tundra at the edge of Hudson Bay in northern Manitoba. The endless horizon of Route 70 in Kansas during a marathon 52-hour drive from Colorado to Maryland. Drinking coffee on a lazy Sunday morning while watching a hot air balloon rise in the high desert of the Southwest.

These are the moments that define my life. Some I experienced alone; others with friends, family, or someone I loved. Each one is a snapshot in time, vivid with its own images and emotions. And running through them all is a musical score, my personal soundtrack. My LifeTracks.

We all have LifeTracks. Music that runs through our lives like a thread woven into a tapestry. Songs that, when played, instantly bring back people, places, and feelings. That’s the power of music, one of the greatest gifts we’ve been given as humans.

Welcome to LifeTracks, a blog series where I’ll explore the music that has shaped my life, connected to the moments and memories that made me who I am. LifeTracks are about rediscovering the past through the music that defined it.

The tracks are queued up. The stories are waiting. Let’s see where the music takes us.

Enjoy!!
