The Authors Guild

I am pleased to share that I have been accepted as a member of The Authors Guild.

Founded in 1912, The Authors Guild is the nation's oldest and largest professional organization for writers. Its mission is to support the rights and interests of authors while providing advocacy, education, professional resources, and a community for writers working across a wide range of genres and disciplines.

As my own writing has continued to grow, applying for membership felt like a natural next step. Through BillMcNamee.com | The Art of the Create, I have expanded my work beyond photography to include essays, book reviews, and long-form writing. With books currently in development under my publishing imprint, Kerrsplat, writing has become an increasingly important part of my creative work.

This is one of the reasons I decided to apply.

Knowing that The Authors Guild reviews each application makes acceptance especially meaningful, and I am honored to join an organization that has supported authors for more than a century. I look forward to learning from its resources and participating in its community of writers.

While this announcement marks a new chapter in my professional work, it does not change what brought me here in the first place. I will continue doing what I have always enjoyed: photography, writing, creating, and sharing that work through BillMcNamee.com.
